The Second Nameless Tower of the Moscow Kremlin

On the east side of Первой The Nameless Tower is the Second Nameless Tower, built at the end of the 15th century. Two hundred years after its construction, the structure of the tower was changed — a tetrahedral tent was added, as well as an observation tower.

At the end of the 18th century, the Second Nameless suffered a sad fate — it was dismantled at the beginning of construction work on the construction of the Kremlin Palace. When the work was stopped by decree of Empress Catherine II, the building was rebuilt, making some adjustments to the design.

The interior of the tower consists of two levels of rooms, the lower tier of which is crowned with a cylindrical vault, while the upper tier has a closed structure with demoulding. The Second Nameless Tower is about thirty meters high — it is one of the lowest towers of the Moscow Kremlin.
