Matroskin's silence
Tishka is almost an honorary citizen of the Northern Capital and the founder of the World Day of St. Petersburg Cats and Cats, which is celebrated annually on June 8. This sculpture is the third of the creative cat brood of sculptor Vladimir Petrovichev. Before that, it was he who lodged [the cat Elisey and the cat Vasilisa] on Malaya Sadovaya (http://kudago.com/spb/p/monuments/kot-elisey-i-koshka-vasilisa/).
Matroskina's name was chosen by the whole world — out of many options, the sculptor chose the name Tishina for the Mitkovo cat itself (she, like representatives of this art association, wears a vest). Abbreviated as Tishka. So the cat, frozen on the cornice of the house on Marat Street, received its name in honor of Moscow's Matrosskaya Tishina Street.
