The Spandau Citadel (Zitadelle Spandau) is one of the best-preserved Renaissance fortresses in Europe and a major historical landmark in Berlin. Built in the 16th century to defend against military threats, the fortress is a striking example of Renaissance military architecture with its symmetrical layout of four bastions named King, Queen, Crown Prince, and Brandenburg. The iconic Juliusturm, standing at 34.6 meters high, is the oldest building in Berlin and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding Spandau area and the River Havel.

Additionally, the annual Citadel Music Festival, held in the summer, transforms the fortress into an open-air concert venue, attracting up to 10,000 attendees with performances by both national and international music stars.
