Now, as before, specialists in forestry, wood chemical industry, loggers and engineers, gardening and park builders and designers are trained here. The wooden houses that you will see in the park have been preserved since ancient times. They still house teachers' apartments.

The practical forestry school, which has now become the State Forestry Engineering University, was founded in 1803. After 20 years, the institution will acquire its buildings designed by the famous architect Ivan Lukini.

The educational institution has changed its status many times - it was an academy, a college, and an institute, but it has been operating since its foundation without any interruptions. In 2011, the university received the title of university.
