The first such house is located on the corner of Palace Square and the Moika River embankment. If you look at it from the sharp corner, it will seem that there is nothing behind the thin wall, and the house itself is just a decoration.

Another house, which looks like a simple wall from the side, is located on Borovaya Street near the Ligovsky Prospekt metro station. It is less known, but no less interesting. The building was built in 1909 by architect MB Kvart and was used as an apartment building. Today, the “wall house” is an ordinary residential building.

Modern architects also like to “play” passers-by. Thus, the list of “flat” houses was supplemented by one of the new buildings on Kolomyazhsky Prospekt. The old technique in the new design looks no less unusual.
