Princess Saltykova's dacha

This is a joint work of the outstanding architects of the time, Sadovnikov and Bosse. The construction of the building in the Gothic style lasted quite a long time - from 1837 to 1847. The towers on the edges of the main entrance are still wooden.

After nationalization, a hospital was located here, then a maternity hospital, a dispensary and much more. After the construction of the subway, when the dacha ceased to serve even as a utility room, the house was abandoned, burned and slowly destroyed. Many Petersburgers know this house as the Burda Moden mansion.

In 1991-1996, it was this company that restored the architectural monument in its original form. Now the building is a trading house.
