Prechistenskaya embankment
Our ancestors knew how to thank God. For their help in defeating the Napoleonic Army in the war of 1812, they built the largest church in Russia. Although its fate was tragic, since the beginning of the new millennium, we have been able to admire its splendor and offer our prayers in it again. This is the Cathedral of Christ the Savior on the Prechistenskaya Embankment of the Moscow River. This is a landmark place for the whole country.
Now a bridge has been built directly to the temple, which has also become a symbol of the capital. This is the most beautiful Patriarchal Bridge in Moscow, openwork and light, like the road to heaven. These two reasons would be enough to visit Prechistenskaya Embankment. But in fact, this amazing place offers us a lot of objects worth considering. They are side by side, coming here from different times. This is Tsvetkov's fabulous mansion, built for his art collection according to a sketch by V.M. Vasnetsov at the very beginning of the twentieth century, and the famous Pertsova apartment building, one of the most beautiful representatives of Russian Art Nouveau style.
And nearby are the modern complex of buildings of the Barkli Plaza business center sparkling with mirrored windows and the brand new Course House club residential complex. There is also a modern church on the waterfront. However, it was built in the style of ancient wooden architecture. This is the Church-chapel of the miraculous Derzhavnaya Icon of the Mother of God, built in 1995.
