This church, built in 2008 and received the name and patronage of St. Alexander Nevsky, became the first Orthodox shrine built in the Yuzhnoportovy district of the city. Its construction was opened in 2005, just in time for the 60th anniversary of the Victory Day. The temple was built according to a project in which all the canons of hipped architecture were observed.
