Dumskaya stretches (although it is, perhaps, loudly said) from Nevsky Prospekt to Lomonosov Street. Until the middle of the XVIII century, Dumskaya was called Gostiny Dvor, as there was (and still is) Gostiny Dvor nearby. But then the merchant guild created the City Duma, the city government body, the building for which was erected in the Living Room. The Duma divided the street into two parts: Dumskaya Street and Perinnaya Line.

At the beginning of the 21st century, Lomonosov Street and Dumskaya Street became a place of active and diverse club life. Admission to local clubs is generally free and drinks are relatively cheap. If you suddenly want to dance, this will not be a problem here either.

Since July 2019, traffic on weekends and holidays has been banned in the Duma.
