The Central House of Journalists has a historical past — it belonged to the Gagarin family. Two hundred years ago, there was a beautiful park with a majestic palace here. Today it is difficult to imagine the cultural life of Moscow without the House of Journalists During the most difficult economic and political years of the country's transformation, Domzhur managed to survive. It is not only home to the writing brethren. It was appreciated by diplomats, musicians, writers, artists and politicians.

Currently, a cinema hall has been opened in the Central House of Journalists, and the stationary concert hall has been turned into a transformer hall. It hosts balls and receptions, solo performances and concerts of bards.
