Golovin's dacha

Count Golovin was an associate of Peter the Great, and once on the site of house No. 63 on the Vyborgskaya embankment there was his luxurious house with a garden and greenhouses.

The plot changed owners, and on the site of the dilapidated cottage in the middle of the 19th century, a two-storey house with a four-column Ionic portico was built according to the design of the architect Charlemagne, which we can observe and now. Members of the imperial family spent their summers here, including Empress Maria Feodorovna herself.

At the moment, a restoration project is being prepared, as a result of which the appearance should change.
