Although the fountain is officially called Bolotny, it is better known as Repinsky, since a monument to Ilya Repin was erected here in 1958.

The bowl of the fountain was cast from melted German guns of the Great Patriotic War. Initially, the fountain was accompanied by light music, but then due to the flow of cars and noise on the street, it was turned off. Currently, it is beautifully illuminated in the dark.
